Cover art progression for The Sorcerer's Alpha

The first rough sketches my artist sent me to pick poses for the cover.
I liked the one in the middle the best so he sent me a more detailed version.
I wanted more interaction between the characters. Also ditched Sycamore's beard.
Starting to fill in colors and details.
Final art before text was added.
